And we’re back! October 2021 has come and gone but boy, were we busy! Harvest took us by storm. We picked eleven tons of our beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for as many winemakers, Pros and Garagistas among them. We love them all!
We picked three tons for ourselves and that’s where the time went. We crushed ’em, fermented ’em, pressed ’em, settled ’em and just yesterday finished barreling ’em. All told, we made 300 gallons of four distinct Cabernet Sauvignon wines plus about 30 gallons of lovely, dark Petite Syrah for blending and bottling. It’s all delicious! And we tried our hand at a white for the first time! A small batch of Grenache Blanc that is cold clarifying as we type. We’ll discuss all of these in upcoming blog posts but for today…

With the holidays right around the corner, UPS tells us that we need to ship orders right after Thanksgiving to get our wines to you in time for your holiday festivities. So we’re asking you to place your orders with us by Monday, November 29th, the Monday right after Thanksgiving, so that we can get them packed up, on the truck and on their way to you!
One other incentive to get your orders in soon… Our early 12EC wine sales have been so good that, after allocating what we need for our tasting room, wine club members and our library (where favorites age to be visited again down the road), we have only five cases of 2019 “Emilio” and three cases of 2019 “Josephine” left to sell! We’ll have more cases of 2020 wines to sell than we do of 2019 and more 2021 behind those. But those wines will tell us when they’re ready to go – they’re the boss, we just follow orders – so for now, grab some of our 2019’s and enjoy what’s left of our fabulous first vintage!
